David joined Miton in 2013 as Director of Investment Trusts and Product Strategy and was appointed Chief Executive in March 2017. He has over 30 years of experience in the City, of which 20 have been focused on asset management. Was previously at JP Morgan Asset Management where he became Managing Director and Head of the Investment Trust business, the largest in the UK, and a member of the senior management team of the UK business. Before joining Fleming Investment Management in 1995, David worked in corporate finance at Hambros Bank and Merrill Lynch & Co.
Prior to joining Miton in 2012, Bart was a Manager within KPMG’s enterprise advisory practice providing transaction advisory services, both buy and sell-side, to private clients and small to medium sized businesses. He has experience in transaction-based advisory, financial modelling, business strategy, auditing and business analysis. Bart is a dual member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining the Miton Group in 2013, Piers was the Deputy Finance Director and Head of Operational Risk with Neptune Investment Management Ltd. Before that Piers specialised in the financial services sector and in 2008 became a partner in Matterley, a Fund Management business whose interests were acquired by Charles Stanley Group Plc in September 2009. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales having trained and qualified with Saffery Champness in 2001.
Gervais Williams joined the group in 2011. He is Head of Equities at Premier Miton Investors and manages a number of funds and trusts that aggregate to just under £1.3bn. His fund management career extends over 30 years including 17 years at Gartmore Group Ltd, where he was Head of UK Small Companies investing in UK smaller companies and Irish equities. Gervais is a member of the AIM Advisory Council, and a board member of the Quoted Companies Alliance. He was a member of the Patient Capital Review panel with the Chancellor of the Exchequer two years ago where the recommendations were put into legislation in the subsequent budget. Gervais Williams has published three books, 'Slow Finance' in the autumn of 2011 (Bloomsbury), 'The Future is Small' published in November 2014 (Harriman House) and 'The Retreat of Globalisation' published in December 2016 (Harriman House).
Neil Bridge joined Miton Group Plc in May 2011. Prior to this, Neil was Head of Sales at Schroders plc for over 10 years having joined the firm in 1989. Neil is experienced in all channels of fund distribution and manages a team of six at Miton.
Prior to joining Miton in 2014, Livvie was Group HR Manager at iCar Asia, owner-operator of Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand’s leading digital automotive portal, where she established the regional HR team. In her early career she worked in HR roles for KPMG’s Financial Services Advisory team and at the Royal Opera House, before moving to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group as HR Manager. Livvie has a a post-graduate diploma in Human Resources Management, an MSc in Business Psychology, and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
Catriona joined Miton in December 2017. Prior to joining, Catriona was Company Secretary managing the UK regulated group of companies for GAM Holding AG, a Swiss listed asset manager. She previously worked for interdealer broker ICAP plc (now TP ICAP), telecoms and network provider Cable & Wireless plc and media and marketing company Aegis plc (now Dentsu Aegis). Catriona has a post graduate diploma in law and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Mark joined Miton Group plc in May 2011. Prior to this Mark held marketing roles at Gartmore and Invesco Perpetual, having worked for Lloyds TSB in a number of roles including PR, Advertising, Sponsorship and Marketing Operations. Mark is experienced in all aspects of investment marketing and manages a team of three.
Paul joined Miton in July 2018. Prior to this Paul was Head of UK Intermediary Operations at both Schroders PLC and Cazenove Capital Management Ltd, with further previous senior roles held at AIG, Dresdner Bank, First Active and HSBC.
Paul is responsible for our operational and sales support service to our advisory and discretionary intermediary client base and currently manages a team of three at Miton.
Philip began his career with Ernst & Young LLP before moving to Alliance UniChem plc where he was part of the Group Legal & Secretariat department. Following the completion of the Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) acquisition of Alliance Boots plc, Philip moved to Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc before becoming Compliance Officer at Moore Europe Capital Management LLP. Prior to joining Miton, Philip was the UK Compliance Officer at Balyasny Europe Asset Management LLP. Philip has a BA (Hons) in Ancient History and Social Anthropology from University College London and a post-graduate legal qualification from the College of Law.
